Unnecessary Spinal Surgery and Severe Impairment
A young woman with neck pain due to a herniated disc, who also had a mild spinal malalignment (known as mild kyphosis/scoliosis) underwent major surgery to correct the conditions. After the surgery she had severe neck/back weakness, pain, and life-long physical limitations. It was alleged that only the vertebral disc surgery or a limited fusion was necessary, not extensive surgery involving multiple spinal fusions and surgical instrumentation being placed on the spine. The case was confidentially settled by Clore Law Group, LLC.
