Margaret (Meg) Horn

Meg (Margaret) Horn graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994 after receiving undergraduate degrees in Literature and Political science with a minor in Theater from Emory University.

Meg’s strong trial advocacy skills and compassion for people experiencing trauma and violence began with her work as a prosecutor, prosecuting violent crimes against women and children, as well as murder and violent felonies.

In 1998 Meg left the Solicitor’s office and continued honing her substantial trial advocacy skills in private practice, focusing on personal injury cases and construction defect cases. In 2002, Meg joined the law firm of Wilson and Heyward where she represented individuals and businesses in personal injury, wrongful death, and construction defect.

During her career, Meg has tried well over 100 cases to verdict and has taken hundreds of depositions of parties and witnesses. After 23 years of defending automobile accident cases, Meg brings a unique perspective and strong skills to put to work on behalf of injured people.

Meg has extensive experience representing people going through divorce and custody litigation in family court. As a divorced single parent, she understands the unique stress divorce places on families and the need for each family to achieve its own resolution through mediated agreements or through litigation.

Meg’s compassion, knowledge, and experience make her a superior advocate and counselor in many areas but particularly in assessing the best course of action and best factual presentation for her clients.

Meg is a member of the US District Court, the South Carolina Bar, the Charleston County Bar, and she is a trained Family Court mediator.

Meg and her husband live in Mt. Pleasant with their three dogs. When she is not working, she enjoys live music, cooking, hunting for vintage furniture, knitting, reading. She has a passion for animal rescue and enjoys volunteering.
