Cardiac Bypass Surgery Resulting in Hypertensive Crisis - Stroke & Quadriplegia

A middle-aged man had cardiac bypass surgery for heart blockages and, while the surgery was successful, he awoke from anesthesia with catastrophic and severe brain injury and in a vegetative state. After investigation, a lawsuit was filed and alleged that he was allowed to experience a hypertensive crisis (extremely high blood pressure) that cut off blood flow to his brain during the surgery, and that this should not have occurred. Mark Clore represented the man and his wife, and the case settled for a confidential amount.
