A mother and her two children suffered burn injuries Friday in a North Charleston apartment fire. A neighbor risked personal injury to save one child from possible death while the mother was forced to throw her other child out the window to another good samaritan below. The mother has since been released from the Augusta Burn Center, but the two children remain hospitalized. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at Noisette Creek Apartments, located at 1005 Buist Avenue, just after 1 p.m. Thirteen residents in all were affected by the fire.
