A recall is issued when it is determine the dangers of a product outweigh the benefits. Doctors and other health care providers are increasing dependent on medical devices in treatment of patients. Unfortunately, many medical devices are recalled due to manufacturing defects. These devices may be use in medical procedures or may be used in an ongoing fashion both internal and external of the patient. Defective internal medical devices present a significant risk of serious injury and death. For example, when an implantable fusion pump fails, the patient may not have sufficient time to reach a medical facility. Should not companies profiting from these defective products requiring a recall be held accountable? They should, and Clore Law Group does just that.
